From tomorrow, the online retailer will stock all four Crumbs Brewing beers, crafted from unsold and surplus bread, rescued from a network of artisan bakers across the UK.

“We’ve come a long way since we originally partnered with our local bakery in Surrey to turn their unsold loaves into delicious brews,” said Crumbs co-founder Morgan Arnell.

“Their passion for the bakes they created inspired us to make the best possible brews from the leftover loaves they
gave us. Just because something is waste doesn’t mean you should be any less demanding of its quality.

“As we’ve continued to source more surplus loaves from a network of like-minded artisan bakers across the UK, it’s fitting that Ocado have agreed to support us in getting our beers to more people all over the UK.”

In a statement, Ocado, who serve more than 500,000 customers per week, said: “We’re always on the lookout for exciting, high-quality brands that align with what our customers are looking for, and Crumbs Brewing ticks every box.

“Innovative, British made, and built on a positive, sustainable purpose. They’re exactly the kind of brand we’re proud to welcome to the Ocado platform.”

Crumbs Brewing has been brought to Ocado by IND!E, a retail growth platform for standout challenger brands. Founder, Matt Hopkins, said: “Crumbs Brewing is exactly the kind of inventive, values-driven brand we love to support at IND!E.

“Their mission to tackle food waste by turning surplus bread into delicious beer is both impactful and original. They’re founder-led, full of purpose, and doing things differently. A perfect fit for our shop on Ocado. We’re excited to help bring their story to more households across the UK.”
