Melton Mowbray’s Round Corner Brewing has earned five double gold medals at the European Beer Challenge, more than any other brewery in Europe.

Society for the Encouragement of Virtue, one of the double-gold winners
Not only that, but all ten beers that the brewery entered into the competition received a medal.
The double gold winners were:
- Steeplechase pale ale (4.4% ABV)
- Hopping Spree West Coast IPA (6.6% ABV)
- Society for the Encouragement of Virtue, rum barrel-aged imperial stout (12% ABV)
- Gunmetal black lager (4.8% ABV)
- Underwater Song Baltic porter (8.2% ABV)
“This recognition is a testament to our passion for brewing and the dedication of our entire team,” said Round Corner co-founder Colin Paige.
“It validates our relentless pursuit of quality and innovation in every batch we produce. To come away with all 10 beers receiving awards is outstanding when there is so much competition.”
Held in London, the European Beer Challenge is known for its meticulous judging process. Double gold medals are
not just an award. They signify that a beer stands out among the best.
