The Norwich and District branch of CAMRA has named The King’s Head as its city pub of the year and also its overall branch pub of the year.

A beloved spot for beer enthusiasts, The King’s Head is celebrated as a traditional, vibrant alehouse, nestled in the heart of Norwich. With a history spanning 300 years as a licensed public house, it has become an enduring favourite for locals and visitors.
“We are delighted to once again be named the Norwich and District branch pub of the year,” said landlord Stephen George. “Alison and the whole team put their hearts into delivering a wide range of local real ales in top condition.
“This lovely pub, our staff and customers, and the fine art of conversation are what makes The King’s Head a special place — a community pub in the heart of the city.”
The King’s Head will now represent the Norwich and District branch of CAMRA in the Norfolk Pub of the Year competition, wthe winner of which will be announced in May.
The Peasant’s Tavern, in North Walsham, has been named the branch’s district pub of the year. The White Lion, in Norwich, is cider pub of the year, and The Haig Club, in Mundesley, is club of the year.
