Nicholson’s has re-opened The Horniman at Hay’s, an iconic London pub located on the banks of the river Thames, following an extensive refurbishment.

The building is part of the wider Hay’s Galleria building, a former brewhouse dating back to the 17th century. With a glorious centrepiece staircase, marble countertops, and an antique wall clock, The Horniman at Hay’s was built on the site of what was originally a historic tea dealer’s warehouse.

The bar areas are now painted in a deep blue and maroon with a freshly sanded wooden floor, to give the pub a warmer, cosy feel. Pictures relating to the building’s history in the tea trade adorn the walls, and the ironmongery has been carefully restored along the impressive staircase and banisters.

The pub continues to serve a range of cask ales, including their own Nicholson’s Pale Ale, brewed by St Austell Brewery. There is also more craft beer than ever before, with guest craft beers on rotation throughout the year.
