The cask revival is continuing with Cornwall’s Bluntrock Brewery committing to a series of monthly specials which will be available in London and Bristol as well as locally.

First out of the blocks is Ruby Robber, a 4.6% ABV ruby porter.

The beer is rich with earthy walnut, liquorice, and a hint of Green & Black’s 80% dark chocolate, followed by a slightly dry, roasted bitterness, and a smooth mouthfeel.

“This new line of cask specials are sophisticated cask beers,” says the brewer. “Not dumbed down, but true to style, using the finest quality ingredients and brewed in a traditional way.”

Bluntrock, based on the North Coast of Cornwall, near Rock, is best known for hoppy keg beers and an excellent taproom fashioned from former shipping containers.
