The Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA) has extended the closing date for entries into its Business Awards 2025 by two weeks. The new closing date is 16th February.
The awards recognise excellence in the brewing industry across a variety of categories. These include pumpclip, can, and bottle design, and efforts taken by brewers to make their business more sustainable, innovative, or diverse. There are also categories for the UK’s best pubs, bars, and retailers of beer from independent breweries.
The awards this year include a new diversity champion category, in partnership with social enterprise and community interest company Women On Tap.
This new award celebrates independent breweries who have made equity, diversity, and inclusivity a central part of their business. That could be with a focus on gender, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, socioeconomic background, disability, neurodiversity, or age.
The winner will need to demonstrate an authentic commitment to creating a diverse workplace alongside tangible positive outcomes for a business and its team. Judges will be looking for schemes, policies, campaigns, or other initiatives that can inspire the wider industry to follow suit.
