Vault City is offering a 20p return scheme to accompany a line of beers celebrating beloved Scottish drink Irn Bru, released earlier this month.

Vault City Iron Brew 20p

The release saw the return of classic glass soda bottles, with the imperial Iron Brew Export Strength arriving at 8.4% ABV along with Iron Blue, a 6.3% ABV bubblegum brew, with the bright blue liquid set to turn drinkers’ tongues blue. A limited edition can design of the ever-popular 4.8% ABV Iron Brew sour and a 5% Raspberry Ripple twist, in cans, also feature.

Vault City co-founder Steven Smith-Hay said he couldn’t resist adding the 20p scheme for another touch of nostalgia. “Our Iron Brew release felt extra special this year, with the introduction of our new limited edition export strength sour, packaged in iconic glass bottles paying homage to Scotland’s national soft drink.

“We often lean into nostalgic ideas when it comes to our beers, so we loved the idea of bringing back an old tradition of 20p returns for Iron Brew glass bottles, or ‘glass cheques’ as we used to call them!”
