Ale & Audio is a radio-style podcast founded in 2020, dedicated to uniting beer lovers and pub shed and home bar owners worldwide.
Streamed across a multitude of broadcast platforms, Ale & Audio has a huge number of listeners across the globe, attracting celebrity guests such as Simon Rimmer, the Beautiful South, and other music artists and TV personalities.
Podcast founder James ‘Jimbo’ Wilmshurst also launched a 24/7 radio station to run alongside the podcast last year.
Ale & Audio has teamed up with Glasgow’s Overtone Brewing for the IPA, which is hopped with Citra, Citra Cryo, Luminosa and Strata. The name of the beer will be announced on the podcast on 10th January.
The IPA will then be released on 13th January, via the Overtone webshop. It will also be in numerous bottle shops and on craft beer websites across the UK.
“It was an honour to be invited up to Glasgow to brew a collaboration beer with an independent craft brewery the calibre of Overtone,” said James. “It’s testament to the growth and success of the podcast.
“It’s the perfect partnership as we are both beer- and music-centric. We enjoyed being part of the brewing process and excited to try the fruits of our labour.”
Ale & Audio will holding an exclusive launch party for the Beer in The Commercial, Chapeltown, Sheffield on Friday, 10th January. Tickets are available via The Commercial or by messaging Ale & Audio.
