Wye Valley Brewery has created a unique trophy presented to the winners of a keenly-fought local rugby derby, between Malvern and Ledbury rugby clubs.

The two teams are sponsored by Wye Valley Brewery, who created a trophy like no other. It’s golden keg symbolising camaraderie, community, and the shared love of rugby and beer.
In a closely fought game, Malvern emerged victorious, with a nail-biting 12-8 win over their local rivals. Following the match, Wye Valley’s head brewer, Gareth Bateman, presented the golden keg to the triumphant Malvern team.
“This was about more than just a match,” said Gareth. “The Wye Valley Brewery Cup is our way of celebrating grassroots sport and local communities. We couldn’t have asked for a more thrilling start to this tradition!”
