It’s a busy time for the Bishop’s Stortford-based Belgian Brewer, bringing back two seasonal brews, and also working hard with local businesses.

The Belgian Brewer

It’s the second year of release for Christmas special Bière Noël (11% ABV), and the brewer says this year’s version tastes even richer.

Expect flavours of soft dark malt and winter fruits, wrapped up in confectionery liquorice. It should be in bottle mid-November.

Also returning soon will be Quadruple at “over 10%”, a small batch release which hasn’t been seen for three years. Keep a look-out on the brewery website.

Elsewhere, the Belgian Brewer has been working with fellow Bishop’s Stortford businesses Eat17 and Smoke BBQ Kitchen to install draught beer systems.

Further afield, they have been working with Mash Paddle Brewery and Taproom, which allows members of the public (under guidance from the team) to make and package their own brews.

“Their taproom is a hub of different craft beers, and now you can find a selection of what we brew on draft as well as in bottle, which are labeled in Mash Paddle ‘colours’ as their house beer brewed by us,” says the Belgian Brewer.

Collaboration, too, with Maldon-based Datum Attitude Brew Co,who are upscaling and opening their own taproom.
