Bays Brewery is looking forward to the festive season with its latest charity brew Jingle Ale, raising funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

Available now in bottles, cask and beer boxes, the hoppy bitter is deep amber in colour with a subtle sweetness.

Bays is donating 5% of proceeds from every pint and bottle sold to CHSW, a South West charity that provides hospice care for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions.

“Being a family-run brewery, we were keen for our final charity brew of the year to pay homage to a local charity that has ‘family’ at its heart, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving one than CHSW,” said Bays Brewery director Peter Salmon.

“For more than 30 years they have been supporting children and families going through the most unimaginable of circumstances. And with Christmas just around the corner, we felt it was a hugely significant time to shine a spotlight on the amazing work they do for families across the region.”

Beer drinkers can say ‘cheers’ to CHSW by enjoying a pint of ‘Jingle Ale’ at many pubs, bars and restaurants across Devon, or by ordering a case or beer box direct to their door on its online shop.

New beers to come in 2025

Daniela Hopkins, area fundraiser for Children’s Hospice South West, said: “It’s a pleasure to be working with the Bays Brewery team and their well-known and much-loved range of crafted ales, beers and ciders.

“I commend their generosity and kindness, which truly makes a difference to the many charities they support, and as one of their chosen charities this year, CHSW is so grateful.

“Our partnership is driven by their kind-heartedness and support, which will help fund ongoing hospice, emergency, end-of-life and bereavement care for families who face an uncertain future.”

Jingle Ale is the final charity beer installment from Bays Brewery, which has also supported Devon Air Ambulance, Paignton Zoo, and Dartmoor Search & Rescue (Ashburton division) in 2024.

The brewery will be teaming up with four more local charities in the new year when it launches its new range of limited-edition charity beers, continuing its mission to go beyond the brew.
