Signature Brew has announced its latest limited release collaboration with Tate Modern, a hazy pale called Ready Made.
It’s the second launch from the brewery’s exclusive partnership with the prestigious institution following the success of Riot Grrrl in 2023.
The beer has been created to celebrate the Mike Kelley: Ghost and Spirit exhibition. Running until 9th March 2025, it’s the first major UK exhibition for the American artist and musician. It features provocative and imaginative worlds created by Kelley, and explores identity, memory, and popular culture.
Ready Made (3.4% ABV) has been carefully crafted to draw on the spirit of found objects and the unexpected connections they create.
The extra hoppy beer is stripped back and refined, pairing ‘sessionability’ with big hits of citrus flavour, offering a nod to both Kelley’s creative process and the depth of his imaginative worlds. It features a striking label designed by Steve Beech, inspired by Kelley’s work.
“Following on from the success of Riot Grrrl last year, when we worked with the Tate on their Women In Revolt exhibition, we didn’t have to wait long until another perfect opportunity came along to work together,” said Sam McGregor, co-founder and growth director at Signature Brew.
“The inimitable work and unique style of Mike Kelley, that gave so much to the musicians he worked with, has now inspired a new beer. Ready Made is our homage to Kelley’s work, and our long-time in-house designer Steve Beech has again delivered an incredible can design inspired by Kelley’s work.”
