Burton Ale, the Thornbridge and The Kernel collaboration created on the former’s Burton Union Set, is to launch on draught this week.
The beer will be served at three venues from noon on Thursday (24th October). Burton Ale will be part of a joint tap takeover at:
- Port Street Beer House, 39-41 Port Street, Manchester M1 2EQ
- Whitelock’s, 6-8 Turks Head Yard, Leeds LS1 6HB
- The Kernel Tap, 132 Spa Road, Bermondsey (East), London SE16 3AE
“We first brewed our Burton Ale with The Kernel brewery back in the summer of 2011 (pictured above), inspired by historical brewing recipes from the early 20th century,” says Thornbridge.
“This iteration, fermented on our union system, is malty, rich, and dark with a gentle balancing bitterness from the Golding hops.
“Roasted malts and special brewing sugars make our Burton Ale the perfect winter warmer.”
It’s Beer Today’s 20th anniversary this month!
