Glasladies Beer Society have announced the brewery line-up for their Beer is For Everyone festival, to be held at the Drygate Brewery, Glasgow, on 16th November.
Glasgow breweries Simple Things Fermentations, Dookit Brewing Co, Overtone, and Up Front Brewing will anchor the line-up. Joining them will be two powerhouses of the Scottish brewing industry, Fierce Beer and Fyne Ales.
Lost and Grounded Brewers and The First & Last Brewery will be travelling up from England, and making their Glasgow festival debut will be Edinburgh nanobrewery Closet Brewing.
Jump Ship Brewing, who were recently crowned small brewery of the year at the Scottish Beer Awards, will provide a range of low- and no-alcohol beers. Completing the line-up will be a cider bar run by Aeble Cider, Scotland’s very first cider bottle shop.
The organisers are introducing some new features that they believe will make the event even more enjoyable, such as voting for best festival beer and best festival dog.
“Several folk brought their dogs along to previous events and they were all such a delight to have around,” said organiser Jennifer D. “We hope that the tournament will draw in more beer and dog lovers and add a little bit of healthy competition for the participating breweries, and a lot of light-hearted fun for attendees.”
Festival-goers can also enter a fundraising raffle. All proceeds will go to Scottish Action for Mental Health and The Women’s Centre, Glasgow. Raffle donations are still open. For more information, email glasladiesbeersociety@gmail.com.
