To mark its tenth anniversary, Verdant Brewing Co has a number of celebrations lined up, including The Travellers Series of beer collaborations.

Verdant ten years

During a hop selection trip to New Zealand back in March, Verdant hung out with Garage Project and made a collaboration beer with them at their base in Wellington.

Now the New Zealand guys have undertaken a return trip to create an anniversary beer with Verdant in Penryn. It’s a 6.5% ABV IPA hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Rakau, Riwake, and Motueka.

“Pete and Jos [from Garage Project] are big fans of Rakau and Nelson hops, so we’ve gone big and bold!” say Verdant. “Expect plums, apricots, gooseberries, grapes, limes, and guava gushing out of the glass and into your brains!”

The second collaboration has been created with California’s Green Cheek Beer Co, with whom Verdant have also worked previously. It’s an 8.4% ABV DIPA hopped with Citra, Riwaka, and Nectaron.

“Great combination of hops here, with Citra leading the charge, but with ample funk and verve by way of two very punchy New Zealand varietals,” say Verdant.
