Nicholson’s Pub Collection will join forces with Stroud Brewery next month, to launch an exclusive limited edition beer in time for Organic September and Cask Ale Week.
Named after the Greek goddess of Earth, GAIA is a new, 100% organic pale ale that will be available for a limited time across all 81 sites of Nicholson’s British pubs.
Stroud Brewery is renowned for making outstanding beer while supporting farming practices that foster a healthy natural environment and benefit local communities.
Joining forces to inspire positive change, both Nicholson’s Pub Collection and Stroud Brewery will participate in the Soil Association’s annual campaign, Organic September. This raises awareness about the benefits of organic farming and encourages more people to choose organic products.
The collaboration will be a part of Organic September’s Tap Takeover, which celebrates pubs, bars, and hospitality venues choosing to support “people and planet-friendly pints”.
Available throughout the month, GAIA aims to put Nicholson’s pubs firmly on the map, while an organic beer and seasonal rotation will be available on an ongoing basis.
“We are delighted to team up with Nicholson’s Pub Collection on the launch of GAIA,” said Stroud Brewery managing director Greg Pilley (pictured above).
“Offering customers an organic beer is a straightforward way to meet consumer demand for purchasing with purpose, and positively support the countryside and the farmers who help maintain a thriving countryside that everyone can enjoy.”
The announcement also ties in with the nationwide Cask Ale Week (19th-29th September), the annual opportunity for pubs and breweries to encourage customers to try real ale through a variety of events, activities, and partnerships.
Nicholson’s operations director, Will Prideaux, said: “Here at Nicholson’s Pubs, we are staunch supporters of cask ale. Partnering with the likes of Stroud Brewery has given us the opportunity to launch a collaborative beer, GAIA, that is 100% organic and 100% delicious!
“We are excited to be involved with this year’s Organic September, too, and join like-minded people who are bringing a positive change to the industry.”
