Showerings cider has secured a listing at Rules, one of London’s most iconic restaurants. It will be the only cider on its menu.
The Showerings family has been producing cider for more than 180 years in the heart of Somerset. Rules, in Covent Garden, is London’s oldest restaurant, having been established by Thomas Rule in 1798.
In addition to the listing, Showerings and Rules are partnering at drinks festival Cocktails in the City, taking place in Bedford Square’s private gardens from 5th-7th September.
Showerings is fast becoming a favourite cider among with UK chefs, including Simon Rogan and Alain Roux. It is already served in some of the UK’s most respected fine-dining restaurants, such as three Michelin-starred L’Enclume, The Waterside Inn, The Hand and Flower in Marlow, and NOBU. It is also sold by Partridges, Amathus Drinks, and Bailey & Sage, among others.
It has also just released its newest blend of triple vintage cider, using apples from the 2021, 2022 and 2023 harvests.

“We are thrilled to be the only cider on its menu, and this new listing only furthers my mission to change people’s perception of cider and highlight how well it pairs with good food.”
Climb is a new 5.3% ABV pale ale from Drop Project. Citra hops lend a zesty citrus aroma, with hints of grapefruit and lime, while Luminosa introduces bright tropical fruit notes of pineapple and passionfruit. Mosaic hops round out the profile, with layers of berry, stonefruit, and earthy pine.
Fyne Ales has created a 4% ABV pale ale, Dam Fyne, to raise funds for Argyll Beaver Centre and help to celebrate its Wildlife Festival, which continues until 3rd August. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the official reintroduction of beavers to Scotland after an absence of 400 years.
