Nottingham-based Neon Raptor Brewing Co have revealed images showing what they hope their new taproom will look like.

Neon Raptor crowdfunder

The brewer has a £50,000 crowdfunding campaign in progress to fund the move to a Gedling Street site.

“We want the taproom to have a mix of all things Neon Raptor,” says the brewer. “We want a modern bar area that feels open and welcoming to all, whilst also giving customers their own space to enjoy a beer or two.

“Upstairs, we’re creating an area where we can hold small events, from beer tastings to video game tournaments. (We don’t know where we’ll actually get bright neon pink sofa, but they look cool right?)

“We have taken some inspiration from Hungarian Ruin Bars (Szimpla Kert springs to mind) and mixed that in with some Jurassic themed plants. We then want to throw in nods to 80s/90s pop culture throughout.

“The walls won’t be as bare as can be seen here as we plan to showcase artwork created by our creative director, Heather, as well as other local artists.”

NEWS IN BRIEF
Track Wander

Track Brewing Co has used Citra hops since day one and in Wander With Me, a new 6.5% ABV IPA, they’re teamed with Motueka. “Together, they coalesce into fresh, vibrant green lime and passionfruit,” says the brewer. “They impart an intense tropical juiciness, whilst a delicate malt bill provides a soft, smooth mouthfeel and an incredibly moreish finish.” Also new from Track are Arosa, a 5.2% ABV Helles, with six weeks of conditioning time, and From Above, a 4.1% ABV gluten-free pale ale.
