Harvey’s Brewery has unveiled Pells Pale a 3.7% ABV pale ale, designed to meet growing demand for pale ales in the on-trade, and available in both cask and keg formats.

Harvey's Pells Pale

Named after the Sussex word for a body of water, pell, the new beer harnesses pure South Downs Sussex spring water drawn up from Harvey’s artesian wells.

Produced with Motueka and UK hops, Pells Pale is characterised by citrus aromas, a fruity palate, and a subtly bitter finish.

It marks a new era for Harvey’s who have installed a new canning line. Expect a raft of 440ml canned beers, including Wharf IPA, Pilsner, and an upcoming nitro porter.

“Pells Pale is not just another pale ale,” said Zoë Prescott, marketing manager at Harvey’s Brewery. “Inspired by the success of our Coronation brew, we have crafted not only a delicious new beer but also a visually distinctive brand that sets these offerings apart from our core range.

“This expansion allows us to cater to the growing demand in the on-trade sector while continuing to be inspired by the vibrant spirit of Sussex.”
