Siren Craft Brew has revealed this year’s Project Barista line-up of coffee-inspired beers, ahead of a festival of the same name on 20th July.
Every year, Siren celebrates the art of the brewer, the coffee grower, and blender with a series of beers. These go into can, but make their debut at the Project Barista festival. Tickets are available here.
Pre-orders for the cans will open soon. Here’s the 2024 line-up.
Dry Bones: a 6% ABV IPA, with Origin Coffee
“This IPA is bone dry, made with citrus-forward coffee, fresh orange, floral honey, and the tannins of oak spirals. We set out to produce a beer with a super-dry mouthfeel that also brings lingering sweetness from the alcohol, and we think we’ve cracked it with Dry Bones.”
Stompin’ Grounds: a 6.3% ABV red ale, with Hard Lines Coffee
“Our red IPA melds hearty malt sweetness amidst pithy hops, elevated by a stunning coffee with tangerine and sherry notes. We’re loving the biscuit and caramel character captured here, and the specialty malts work in tandem with the beans for subtle roastiness.”
Viva Patron: a 6.6% ABV dark ale, with Climspons Coffee
“The dark ale incorporates tequila-soaked oak, agave syrup, intense espresso, and Muscovado sugar for a coffee liqueur experience in a beer. Alongside coffee beans, this beer uses Midnight Oil, a cold brew concentrate used to elevate the beer to a whole new level.”
Mucha Mora Mocha: a 9% ABV imperial stout, with Anonymous Coffee
“Building on Mucha Mocha (no mean feat), this imperial stout is injected with coffee at every possible step of the process, swirling through rich, smooth cocoa. We took learnings from our CCC (Caribbean chocolate cake) project with this stout, seeing a six-hour boil for a beautifully thick mouthfeel.”
