Fell Brewery has announced the acquisition of the Pelican bar, in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. This will be the brewer’s second venue in the city.

For the immediate future, Fell Brewery will continue to operate Pelican under its existing name and brand. In the coming months there will be a redesign, incoporating the brewery’s familiar branding and venue look and feel.

Existing Pelican emloyees are being welcomed to the wider Fell team.

“We’re excited to bring Pelican into the Fell Brewery family,” said Michael Dixey, Fell Brewery’s managing director.

“Our goal is to build on the reputation and charm of Pelican whilst infusing it with the quality, atmosphere, and community spirit that Fell venues are known for. We’re looking forward to welcoming both loyal customers and new visitors.”

Over time, customers can look forward to an expanded selection of Fell craft beers, alongside a curated menu of guest beers, natural wines, spirits, soft drinks, and snacks.

Fell Brewery, based in south Cumbria, operates bars in Kendal, Penrith, and Chorlton, as well as the Royal Oak pub in Cartmel.
