Icons of US craft beer, Dogfish Head, are helping Northern Monk kick off a new Patrons Projects series with a session rye IPA.
“We came up with the concept over two shared ideas,” says Northern Monk. “Firstly, we both have enjoyed playing with small percentages of rye in the grist of session beers, for extra depth of flavour and mouthfeel, and secondly we both enjoyed the white sage twist we added to last year’s Hop City’s release.”
With orange, juniper, sage, bready earthy spices, and hints of resinous citrus, tropical fruit, the beer is designed to be ideal for gig-going, with an interesting edge. The beer has been bottle conditioned with Champagne yeast.
Also involved in Patrons Projects series 45 is The Endless Hum, a group of five artists, musicians, and friends based in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire and Shipley, Bradford.
The group came together in 2022 over a mutual craving for experimental music, with the aim of bringing something interesting to the local community, showcasing the diverse music they love and admire, whatever the genre.
