Bristol brewer Wiper and True has revealed its charity partner for May, as well as how much was raised for April’s good cause.
The brewer raises money by designating one of its beers a ‘Karma Keg’ every month. Usually an exciting new release, Wiper and True donates 100% of the profits from these two kegs to its chosen charity.
It also donates £1 from every entry to its pub quiz, as well as encouraging donations from drinkers when they checkout on the online shop.
Last month, Wiper and True raised just over £704 for Pledgeball, a charity which works to encourage sports fans to engage with environmental issues.
The charity this month is Bristol Borderline Personality Disorder Collective (BBPDC). This is a grassroots community project that helps to deliver weekly in-person peer support to anyone living with borderline personality disorder (BPD/EUPD), complex post-traumatic stress disorder, individuals who experience emotional dysregulation/strong emotions, and other BPD or CPTSD traits.
It was founded by Jade Estelle Harrison, who is also the facilities manager at Wiper and True.
