Specialist craft lager producer Pillars Brewery has increased production capacity by 80%, and now plans to build a new brewery.

Pillars Pilsner

Founded by three brothers, Eamonn, Samie and Omar Razaq, along with their friend, Gavin Litton, the business started out in a garden shed at the brothers’ family home.

With huge growth in production year on year, the team have adapted and installed new horizontal tanks to keep up with demand. They are working towards the goal of creating the most sustainable brewery in London.

“We are on a mission to become the most loved lager brand in the country,” said Samie, who is director of brand and marketing. “Two of every three pints bought in the UK are lager and we want to elevate the standard of such a well-loved drink.”

The current offering includes a range of award-winning craft brews, from the crowd-pleasing Pilsner and floral Hop Lager, to a full-bodied Helles. There is also the annual small-batch Icebock, a two-time UK winner at the World Beer Awards.

Pillars Brewery and taproom is located in Ravenswood Industrial Estate, an eclectic corner of Walthamstow with taprooms, bars, and a plethora of outdoor seating, ideal for the warmer months ahead. The brewery also offers delivery direct to customers’ doorsteps.
