Melton Mowbray-based Round Corner Brewing has been awarded four golds and one silver medal at the International Brewing & Cider Awards.
The beers which were awarded medals were Drovers, a hazy session IPA, Frisby, a lager, Social Club, a nitro stout, and Underwater Song, Baltic porter. The latter got two gold medals in separate classes — strong lager and strong dark beer.
The success follows Round Corner Brewing’s recent haul of five medals at the European Beer Challenge.
“Quality and consistency drives every decision we make in the brewery,” said head brewer Lara Lopes. “We never rest on our laurels and are constantly working hard to make the best beer we can, so it is lovely when this is verified in one of the best beer awards in the world. What an amazing brewing team we have here at Round Corner Brewing.”
Co-founder and chief executive, Combie Cryan, added: “Ever since Colin (Paige) and I founded the brewery in 2018, we set out on a mission to brew a broad range of beer styles, and within those styles to produce some of the best examples of those beers in the world.
“For us, these medals confirm that we’re sticking to our mission of the relentless pursuit of perfection, and by being awarded five medals it’s proof our brewing team continue to maintain world class brewing standards. The next step for us is to get these beers into more drinker’s hands and show them why our beer is uncommonly good!”
