“The decision to sell The Crown marks the end of an era,” says Joule’s. “It also presents an exciting opportunity for someone to take it forward.”

“Deana has been at the helm of The Crown since July 2020, and we want to express our thanks for her commitment to the pub, especially in navigating us through the challenges posed by the pandemic and the ever-evolving landscape of the hospitality industry,” said Joule’s Brewery.

“Her dedication is evident in the pub’s legacy. We are pleased to share that Deana has agreed to work with us during the period of change to ensure The Crown continues to serve its community.”

The statement added: “We believe that The Crown would be best suited as a freehouse with a landlord who has the freedom to trade with an entrepreneurial spirit.

“We have been proud owner for many years now, and while the decision to sell The Crown marks the end of an era, it also presents an exciting opportunity for someone to take it forward.”
