Construction is under way on what will be a flagship taproom for Siren Craft Brew in the centre of Reading. It is set to open in May.
How the new taproom will look
The 3,800 sq ft space will be in the new Station Hill development, close to the railway station. It will offer more than 30 lines of fresh beer.
Along with the beer lineup, which will include guest beers from all around, Siren is also investing in a high-spec kitchen and recruiting a top team. The intention is to create a venue which showcases independent producers of all kinds.
“There is significant outside space, so alfresco pints are definitely on the cards this summer,” says Siren. “We’ll be inviting the local community to get involved in a crowdfunder, which will be offering generous pre-paid bar tabs and other exclusive rewards.”
