Freedom Brewery has announced a new contract brewing service, enabling growing producers to meet any increase in demand through an established resource.
The CFT canning line at Freedom Brewery
Having recently invested more than £2 million into its production facilities, Freedom is offering its industry expertise to other brewers to brew, bottle, can, and keg beers in multiple volumes, utilising state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The multi-award-winning brewer, which has been operating for nearly 30 years, has installed a new CFT canning line. The machine can operate at a rate of 15,000 cans per hour, with printing or labelling into trays or multi-packs and then palleting all part of the offering.
A market-leading keg washing and filling machine can also support filling 30- and 50-litre kegs, for brewers specifically needing an on-trade support function.
As an independent business, Freedom Brewery’s agility means it can quickly and expertly create all manner of beer styles, from crisp, refreshing lagers, to juicy IPAs, at a minimum of 5,000 litre brews. The business is also offering an option to combine experiences and develop new recipes, if that’s where the interested parties are seeking support.
And with sustainable production practices now an intrinsic part of most brewing businesses, Freedom Brewery also provides strong credentials on this front. As well as using Kieselguhr filtration, to ensure beers are free from animal products and Vegan Society certified, it uses natural spring water from a bore hole on site, thermal fluid heating to reduce energy consumption by 30%, and reed bed filtration to naturally clean wastewater.
“Contract brewing has been a staple of this industry for a long time and we felt this was an area in which we could provide strong value to the market,” said Matthew Willson, managing director of Freedom Brewery.
“Investment in new equipment, infrastructure, and workforce to grow your business can be costly, time consuming, and a real barrier to growth and that’s where we’re in a fortunate position to support.
“We’re able to take care of every aspect of your brew, from raw ingredients to the finished product, and the new canning line enables an incredibly efficient method to get from production to packaging so products can be put into market faster to help your bottom line.”
