A £40,000 crowdfunding campaign is under way to build a brewery behind Eko’s popular taproom in Peckham, London.

Eko Brewery founders Anthony and Helena Adedipe

Established in 2018 by Anthony and Helena Adedipe, Eko Brewery specialises in using African brewing techniques and ingredients.

Their taproom in Copeland Park, Peckham, has, in its short existence, already been described as a game changer by many, including beer writer, Will Hawkes.

“The brewery will be an extension of what we have already started to cultivate in the space,” say Anthony and Helena in their Crowdfunder pitch. “As you step through the doors you’ll be able to soak in elements of Afro jazz and soulful chill-out music. The aromas of the food inspired by our heritage will fill the space.

“The extensive range of drinks will be available for your palates to enjoy. The brewery has a large glass front which allows natural light to flood into the space. Seating will be strategically positioned so the brewery space can be viewed by everyone enjoying the taproom.”
