Joule’s Brewery’s latest pub, the Henry Tudor Inn, Shrewsbury, has enjoyed a busy start since its reopening in October.
“Our mission to preserve the historical charm of this iconic building while infusing it with the Joule’s Brewery spirit has been met with resounding success,” said Georgia Charlton-Briggs, brand manager at Joule’s.
“The response from patrons has been heartwarming, and it’s clear that the oncept of Henry Tudor Inn 1429 has struck a chord with all who have stepped inside, with the general feeling being its unwavering ‘wow factor’.
“Louke and the team have truly outdone themselves. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next.”
The Old Lion Tap, the Earl’s Quarters, and playful elements throughout the taphouse have been met with curiosity and appreciation. The eclectic design, enhanced operations, and motifs reflecting history have created an inviting and immersive environment.
Louke Glover, poject manager at Joule’s, said: “We have included several of the elements you can find across many Joule’s pubs, including antique mirrors, reclaimed materials, and unusual pieces. Alongside this, the building has been treated as we do with all our pubs. Every corner is filled with intrigue and with detail towards preservation, using reclaimed materials and local specialist craftsmen.
“The building already showcases hand-crafted contemporary oak panels, which work brilliantly in a 15th-century pub and are classic feature. This project embodies our commitment to creating and preserving brilliant pubs in the area.”
