Newcastle upon Tyne-based Alpha Delta Brewing has become the latest beer maker to announce that it is closing its doors.
The decision to wind down comes after much deliberation over escalating energy costs, the unforeseen complexities of exporting post-Brexit, and, personal health considerations, said owner Rossi Holland, addressing customers and supporters.
“From the outset, our journey has been fueled by passion — for the craft, the community, and the joy of creating something truly special,” he said.
“We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us: our loyal customers, our steadfast suppliers, and the incredible network of fellow breweries. Your belief in us has been the cornerstone of our success.
“I’ve had the privilege of spending significant time in the brewing industry, and it has been nothing short of remarkable. The opportunity to travel the world, meet amazing people, and savour the finest liquids has been a blessing I will always cherish. However, the time has come for me to seek new adventures.”
He hinted, however, that it may not be quite the end of the line for the brewery. For now, though, stock is being sold off and there will be a farewell event, at a time to be confirmed, at Box Social Brewing.
