Final preparations are under way for the Norwich Beer Festival, taking place from Monday to Satuday next week, at The Halls in the city centre.

Norwich Beer Festival 2023

The latest news is that a live beer list has been launched, to help visitors track down their favourite brews. The list can be found here.

The cellar team will be continuously updating it to show what is available (green), coming soon (orange) or sold out (red).

The festival will features all styles of beers. Of course, the core, as ever, is a huge range of cask brews. There will be a number of foreign beers, but also a ‘Curiosity Bar’, offering, well, curiosities. Green-coloured Incredible Hulk, from Fat Cat Brewery, for instance.

This year there will be some 40 gluten-free beers, with a special dedicated ‘Free From’ bay.  There will also be around 100 vegan beers and over 35 brews in wooden firkins.

Beer sommelier Cheryl Cade will be running two Beer Safaris at the festival on Tuesday, taking participants on a voyage of discovery.

Festival organiset, Craig Harmer, said: “Do ask the volunteers behind the bar, as they are extremely knowledgeable and can direct you to different types of beer, ciders, lagers, and even soft drinks.”

Festival tickets are available here.
