Thornbridge Brewery has launched what it says is the most sustainable beer Advent calendar on the market.
It uses sustainably sourced, fully recyclable and bio-degradable raw cardboard, with simple water-based ink colour and cut-outs to add a festive sprinkle to a scene from the Peak District.
The individual calendar beer boxes can be assembled day by day to create a Christmas table decoration, depicting some of the recreational sports and pastimes of the Peak District as seen on Thornbridge’s new glassware.
Once Christmas is over, the individual boxes can be repacked into the outer box and stored away until next year. Thornbridge will send the 2024 ‘refill’ beers at a considerably reduced rate to re-use the calendar packaging.
