Robinsons Brewery, the family brewer and pub owner based in the heart of Stockport, is celebrating 185 years in business today.

Robinsons Brewery

The brewery has remained in the Robinson family for six generations, making it one of the few family-run breweries with such a long history.

“We’re thrilled to reach this remarkable milestone,” said Oliver and William Robinson, joint managing directors. “It’s a testament to the enduring love for our beers and pubs, and the dedication of our teams.”

Earlier this month, Robinsons hosted its first ever company-wide conference. The MDs noted: “It was a day that brought teams from all the areas of our business together for the first time, providing a great opportunity to share the strengths and diversity of our six-generation family business while setting out our future plans and ambitions.”

Life president Dennis Robinson said: “It was very encouraging for me to hear such things about how everybody else is getting involved across the business, which is the aim that we had some while ago. So, seeing it coming into fruition is very good, because at the end of the day, the business is about people.”
