Small Acts — AKA performers Katie Etheridge and Simon Persighetti — are touring their Future Pub show around Cornwall this autumn.

Future Pub

Future Pub is described as a journey through time, space, beer, and community, brewed in Cornwall. If you could time travel into the future and walk into a pub, the show asks, what would you like to see? Robot bar staff, instant nostalgia, or a new social inn-vention?

The performance debates and celebrates the power and potential of community, while gathering a deeper understanding of what the pub of the future will look like.

The show incorporates original writing, film, live music, games, and, of course, a time machine to transport audiences to the pub of the future.

Drawing on interviews with brewers, publicans, communities, and pub campaigners in Cornwall, Future Pub explores the enduring role of pubs in our lives at a time when the future of so many hangs in the balance.
