Black Sheep’s Burrow’s Blonde, launched for rugby legend Rob Burrow MBE, has become the brewery’s fastest-selling bottle ever.

Brewed in partnership with the Good Racing Co, 10p from every pint and bottle sold is donated to the Rob Burrow 7 Discretionary Trust and the Rob Burrow Racing Club. So far, £3,800 has been raised to support Rob and his family.

Already, 139 pubs and sports clubs have sold Burrow’s Blonde to customers, including Rugby League team Wigan Warriors.

Burrow’s Blonde is a 3.7% ABV, light and zesty session beer, available in cask and bottle. The beer will also be available in can soon. It blends the finest British malts with a trio of hops, creating aromas of grapefruit, lemon, and orange to accompany soft, sweet maltiness.

“Burrow’s Blonde is a cracking pint, with an iconic blue and yellow pump and distinctive branding,” said Dan Scott Paul, head brewer at Black Sheep Brewery. “The fact it is our fastest-selling bottle is no surprise to us.

“With the Rugby Union World Cup under way, as well as the Challenge Cup Final coming up in October, Burrow’s Blonde will be immensely sought-after amongst sports fans, and will no doubt be a popular choice in any pubs and clubs that decide to stock up.

“We’d highly recommend matching a pint of Burrow’s Blonde with a bowl of chips, ready to watch the games kick off.”
