The team behind IPA specialist Standard Brew Co has decided to call time on the project for now, having paused production last November.
Three of the original Standard Brew Co IPAs
“Reality has bitten over that period,” the brewer told fans today. “Sadly, we have struggled to find a way to viably and sustainably keep making our small-batch IPAs each month.”
The concept of Standard Brew Co was that each subscriber would receive shares in the business and become a co-owner, while enjoying regular new beers. Each month, it created a new small-batch IPA, from session beers to big triple IPAs, and everything in between.
“We’d like to say a BIG thank you to all of those that signed up as subscribers and supported our little brewery,” said the brewer. “We loved making and sending some great IPAs to you each month, but we’ve had to call time on the Standard Brew Co journey, for now.
To Milo, our brewer and top Standard Brew guy, a big thank you to you. Going forward, you can find Milo doing his thing at Hackney Wick’s Mammoth Beer.”
