The town will ring with live music across four stages and in pubs, along with great food and drink. There will also be a family fun area, stalls, parades through the streets — including some of the brewer’s vintage vehicles — and Morris dancing.

The Old Brewery Store, inside the brewery, will, in conjunction with Candy Rock Events, host a gig by ska and blues band P45. There will be support from Rudy Warman and Heavy Weather. Earlybird tickets are available here.

Shepherd Neame is also running a competition for festivalgoers to win a two-night stay for four in one of Bell Tent Family Adventure’s luxury furnished bell tents. To enter, click here.

Brewery tours will run across the weekend. There will be family tours on both days at 11am, which cost £35 for two adults and up to four children. There is no tasting at the end, though there is a free pint for the grown-ups and a soft drink for the kids.

There will also be standard brewery tours at noon both days, for adults only, costing £22.50 per person. These are followed by a tutored tasting of six beers in The Old Brewery Store. Adult visitors can also enjoy mini-tours at 2pm and 3pm both days. These offer 45 minutes in the brewery and a tasting of three beers, and cost £17.50 per person.

And one lucky beer lover could also win beer for a year! Festival-goers simply need to look out for prize QR codes in each of Shepherd Neame’s nine town centre pubs across the festival weekend to scan and enter.

“Faversham Hop Festival is a unique celebration of Kent’s heritage, and we are proud to be principal sponsor of the event once again,” said Shepherd Neame chief executive, Jonathan Neame.

“It provides a fantastic boost for our town, attracting thousands of people over the weekend, and we look forward to joining in the celebrations across our pubs and at the brewery.”
