Northern Monk’s flagship non-alcoholic beer, Holy Faith, has won an unprecedented three stars in the Great Taste Awards 2023.
Holy Faith, the 0.5% ABV version of Northern Monk’s classic Faith hazy pale ale, is the first non-alcoholic beer to ever win three stars in the awards. From 14,195 entries entered into Great Taste 2023, only 1.8% of products achieved a 3-star award.
Holy Faith was introduced in January 2021 as an alcohol-free special release. A year later, after calls for it to come back from customers and retailers, Holy Faith returned and is now part of Northern Monk’s core range of products.
“This is an incredible result and we’re really proud of Holy Faith,” said brewery manager Pietro Maltinti. “The non-alcoholic beer sector is growing massively, and the quality has never been better for beer drinkers to choose from.
“We think Holy Faith stands up as a great beer, and we want it to become one of the leading AF options out there.
“I would personally like to thank everyone in the team that made this possible — brewing, quality, packaging, and everyone in the ops team involved. They all deserve all the credit for this amazing result.”
