This summer, Castle Pubs has launched a craft beer residency that will showcase gluten-free and vegan craft beers from some of its favourite brewers across the UK and further afield.

The line-up features several small breweries, as well as some familiar favourites, that will be on constant rotation throughout the summer months.
Breweries will include Gipsy Hill Brewing Co, Brixton Brewery, Brew York, Moor Beer Company, North Brewing Co, Sierra Nevada, Signature Brew, Utopian Brewing, Vocation Brewery, Wiper and True, and Lucky Saint. There will also be a cider from Sxollie and radlers from Fever Tree.
The residency will also launch two new beers from brewing partner Brewgooder, a B-Corp company that brews ‘to make better lives’ by supporting community projects around the world.
The first is a collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery. Fonio IPA is an IPA brewed using African supergrain Fonio, an important source of Fairtrade income for farmers in West Africa. This will be the very first Fonio to be used for brewing in the UK.
For the second, Castle Pubs launched a competition that saw employees within the group enter for a chance to create their own beer. Winner Kaya Lewandowska, from The Gipsy Moth pub in Greenwich, has created a collaboration with Siren Brew Co. Triplicity is a New England session IPA, brewed using Citra, Mosaic, and Cascade hop varieties.
Kaya said: “I was so excited to win this competition and get to create a brand new beer exclusively for Castle Pubs. Working with Siren, we decided to combine three varieties of hops for a unique, gluten-free, vegan beer that will sit alongside other big names as part of the free-from summer residency.
“Having a range of these beers on draught will really set Castle Pubs apart from their competitors, offering a real choice for punters who are looking for innovative free-from beers on tap.”
