“We are over the moon that Dave also sees the opportunity within Double-Barrelled, and also our core range, particularly Parka.!
Co-founder and operations director, Mike Clayton-Jones, added: “I couldn’t be more excited for the future of Double-Barrelled as we grow our team, and the introduction of Dave to the board of directors is absolutely the right fit for us as a business.
“His passion and experience combined offer us some fantastic opportunities in the immediate and long-term future.”
The brewery has grown rapidly over the past four years, and is targeting an additional 50% volume growth in 2023/24, increasing output to about 4,500hl, despite the challenging trading environment.
As well as frequent special and seasonal releases, growth has been primarily focused on Double-Barrelled’s two core beers, with the majority of increases in volume forcast to be based around Parka, a 4.5% ABV award-winning Citra dry-hopped pale ale.
