UnBarred Brewery has released Cold Press Summer White Stout (5.2% ABV), a collaborative brew which has been created with sustainability in mind.

UnBarred Summer Stout

UnBarred says it offers the perfect balance between an indulgent stout and a lighter-bodied beer.

Combining cocoa nibs, cold-pressed coffee, and delicate vanilla pods, the stout offers flavours of chocolate, tobacco, peach, and apricot, accompanied by the smooth embrace of bourbon vanilla, subtle roasted notes, and a touch of sweetness.

The Brighton brewery has teamed up with three local independent producers to create the beer. Each share a passion for sustainability and innovation. The brew utilises by-products that would have otherwise gone to waste.

“First, we’ve incorporated 18kg of Back Yards coffee Chaff into the mix,” says the brewer. “This unique by-product, a result of their beans, adds a distinct layer of complexity and flavour to our base white stout.

“Next, we’ve sourced exquisite cacao husks from our friends at Terre De Sienne. These cocoa husks infuse our stout with rich and delightful notes.

“And to top it all off, we’ve enlisted the help of Gold Coffee Mountain Growers, who generously provided us with their luscious Pacamara cherries. These cherries bring a burst of fruity flavour to bring everything together.”

The beer’s available in keg and can.
