Rooster’s Brewing Co has lined up five collaborations with some of the US’s most respected breweries which will be released throughout the summer.

Billed as an American Celebration, each of the beers also form part of Rooster’s 30th anniversary Collaboration Project.
The first release has been brewed with Crooked Stave, from Denver, Colorado. Southbound, a 5.0% ABV New Zealand pils was released in both can and keg on 5th June and was followed on 19th June by [Insert Name Here], an American pale ale brewed with Bale Breaker, from Yakima, in Washington State.
What’s That In Litres?, a juicy pale ale, was released at the same time and represents Rooster’s third collaboration in recent years with Odell Brewing Co, one of the largest craft breweries in the US, based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The fourth collaboration will be a three-way collaboration with California’s Green Cheek Beer Co, recent winner of four medals at the 2023 World Beer Cup, and Everywhere, a relatively new start-up brewery that’s quickly developed a strong reputation on the West Coast for the range and quality of their beers. The resulting beer, Everything’s Just Swell!, is set to be launched at Suds With Buds, Rooster’s inaugural invitation beer festival, taking place across its brewery, taproom, beer garden, and events space on 1st July.
Georgia’s New Realm Brewing Co will complete the set towards the end of the summer. The Atlanta-based brewery was co-founded by Mitch Steele, one of the most revered brewers in the US, who, quite literally, wrote the book on brewing American IPAs.
American influence has always been at the core of Rooster’s DNA, with founding brewer, Sean Franklin, having pioneered a new style of beer using New World hops he imported from the USA in the early 1990s; something that, up to that point, had never been done in the UK before. Yankee, Rooster’s appropriately named flagship pale ale, brewed with 100% Cascade hops, will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Owned by the Fozard family since 2011, Rooster’s affinity with the US beer scene and culture remains strong, with both Oliver Fozard, head brewer, and Tom Fozard, Rooster’s commercial director, regularly visiting the States for hop harvests, conferences, and general inspiration.
“We’re delighted that so many of our favourite breweries and some of the closest friends we’ve made within the industry have come together to work with us to help celebrate Rooster’s latest milestone anniversary,” said Tom.
“The majority of the collabs will be available at Suds With Buds, which is exciting enough. Our pals from Bale Breaker, Everywhere, and Green Cheek will flying in for the occasion, especially to pour their beers, which Rooster’s is exclusively air-freighting into the UK, along with the Odell and Crooked Stave, just for the festival!”
