London-based writer Des de Moor has completed a new book dedicated to cask beer which will be published by CAMRA in August.

Cask Des de Moor

Cask beer played a crucial role in the rise of beer appreciation and remains a unique format delivering a drinking experience that can’t be achieved any other way.

The book explores why cask beer has survived and takes a close look at the way some of the leading producers make it today, dispensing with numerous myths along the way.

Des De Moor writes regularly for many beer publications. In 2010 he contributed to the book 1001 Beers You Must Try Before You Die, and in 2011 published his own first book with CAMRA, London’s Best Beer, Pubs and Bars, a third edition of which appeared in 2022.
