XPA, one of the Five Points Brewing Co’s most popular core beers, is now gluten free, the Hackney, London-based brewer has announced.

gluten free XPA

“I am thrilled that our award-winning XPA is now even more accessible to beer drinkers everywhere,” said Five Points’ director of brewing, Greg Hobbs.

“It has long been an ambition to add a gluten-free option to our range, and to achieve that with our already much-loved XPA is extremely exciting.”

XPA is a light and tropical extra pale ale. The combination of American and Australian hops used in its recipe offers citrussy notes of peach, mango, and pineapple, which are balanced by a thirst-quenching bitterness. At 4% ABV, it’s a “seriously sippable pale ale”, according to the brewer.

Beginning its life as a special edition collaboration beer for the Field Day festival in 2016, XPA proved to be a hit long after festival season. The beer then joined Five Points’ core range and fast became a favourite among beer drinkers.
