Neptune Brewery is to host a tutored tasting and showcase of Ukrainian Golden Ale at the Denbigh Castle pub, in Liverpool, on 5th May.

Ukrainian Golden Ale

The brewers will be joined by special guest Lana Svitankova, a Ukrainian beer expert. The beer itself is the flagship of Rambling Brewing Co’s #BeerTogether project, which aims to promote and celebrate both the local Liverpool independent brewing scene and that of Ukraine. It sees eight Liverpool breweries collaborating with eight Ukrainian breweries to produce a set of eight unique beers.

Ukrainian Golden Ale, created by Neptune in collaboration with Kyiv’s Beermaster Brewery, is a beer made to a style unique to Ukraine. Expect caramel and honey malt flavours, with soft fruits and light spicy notes.

“I am thrilled to introduce the UK and international audience to a new-fleged local style, and even more excited by a merger of the old and new tradition, Ukrainian Golden Ale being served on cask,” said Lana.

“The story of the new wave of beer in Ukraine, peculiar Ukrainian flavours and disciptors, trends, unlikely specialties, all of it in the chat over beers. Looking forward to seeing everyone!”
