Oakham Ales is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and to mark the occasion it has created new cask aged and seasonal beers to complement its core range.

Since September 1993, Oakham Ales has brewed nearly 300 different beers. These include Jeffey Hudson Bitter (JHB), a hugely popular golden session ale, and Citra, which introduced lots of drinkers to the popular American hop of the same name.
The celebration is kicking off with a new cask-aged release, Lord Maximus (5.5% ABV). It’s a tribute to Mount Hood, the first hop variety the brewery used back in 1993 for its first beer, JHB.
“This is a powerful reboot,” says the brewer. “A double-hopped version of our legendary Jeffrey Hudson Bitter, with mild herbal notes and a light honey sweetness, balanced with a refreshingly bitter finish.”
