Part-aid, part-novelty, sales of the Beer Lanyard have soared since it was launched last year. Now the sales team are preparing for a new beer festival season.

Britain has a long and proud connection with beer and ale. But imagine having the joy of a pint taken from you because it became too hard to hold it.

Kevin Whiting was faced with this scenario when the arthritis in his shoulder made it impossible to hold his pint for long. Kevin took his beer seriously, visiting the Great British Beer Festival with his sons and supping on brews from all over the world.

Explaining the source of his pain to his sons, they decided that there was a solution to be found. This is when they created the Beer Lanyard.

It’s a clever design that leverages the lanyards usually created to hold name badges. Securing the pint glass, the Beer
Lanyard means that the beer drinker can rest their arms while taking a beer at their own pace.

It also enables queuing strategies to be tackled, with the Beer Lanyard acting as a third hand to hold a pint and save lining up again.

Since its launch in August 2022, the makers have passed the £100,000 sales milestone and they’re getting prepared for the new beer festival season that runs from spring to autumn’s Oktoberfests.

Jack Whiting, chief executive and founder, of Beer Lanyard, said: “We’re delighted with the impact that Beer Lanyard has made on the market. We knew it was a good idea, but we didn’t expect it to capture people’s imaginations in quite the way that it has. We love having celebrity fans on board, but we love to see how people use their lanyards even more.

“It is brilliant to think that we’ve been able to help more people enjoy a quality pint in comfort. Now, we’re styling them too! We’re ready for the Beer Lanyard UK takeover. See you at your next festival
