Steak restaurant Hawksmoor is opening a new spot in Liverpool and has partnered with local independent brewery Neptune to brew a celebratory pale ale.

Hawksmoor Pale Ale (5.5% ABV is full-bodied and fruity on the palate, with a refreshing citrus hit and gentle piney finish. It’s ideal to enjoy on its own, or along with the dishes on the restaurant’s menu.
Neptune is in the middle of a move to a bigger site due to the increasing popularity of its beers.
Co-owner Julie O’Grady said: “It’s becoming increasingly important to offer diners beer options that match the standard of the dishes on the menu, and to reflect in the drinks offering that ethos of providing high-quality and well-made products that are made locally by fellow independent businesses.

“As big fans of Hawksmoor ourselves, we are over the moon that a branch is opening here in Liverpool, and we hope to win a whole host of new fans for both the restaurant and our beer.”
The beer is a true collaboration as Lewis Jenkins, the new bar manager for Hawksmoor in Liverpool, joined in on the initial brew day.
Hawksmoor bars manager, Liam Davy, said: “We’ve loved collaborating with Neptune Brewery on a beer for Hawksmoor Liverpool. As well as being incredibly talented brewers and operators, their support around our opening and personal touch has made them an absolute pleasure to work with.”
