Shepherd Neame is introducing a special beer to mark the start of the football World Cup, and giving drinkers the chance to win free pints in its pubs.
Fans will be able to enjoy a limited edition cask ale called It’s Coming Home, coming in at 4.2% ABV. The beer combines new and traditional English hops, including Challenger and Kent-grown Centennial, to create a golden ale with tropical notes and classic Kentish spicy flavours.
Drinkers can also be in with a chance of scoring a free pint across participating Shepherd Neame pubs. To receive a limited edition football-themed scratchcard, customers need to purchase a pint of selected Shepherd Neame beer at participating pubs between 20th November 20 and 18th December. Each scratchcard offers a one-in-ten chance of winning a free pint.
Football lovers will also be able to enjoy three limited edition gourmet burgers created especially to accompany the matches by Shepherd Neame’s award-winning food team.
Shepherd Neame’s managing director, pubs, Jonathon Swaine said: “Our teams are looking forward to welcoming fans to our pubs, cheering their team while enjoying a pint of our specially-brewed limited edition ale It’s Coming Home and a delicious burger.
“We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for friends and family to come together to enjoy the matches in a unique pub atmosphere. After the success of the Lionesses earlier in the year, the Englishman in me hopes that the Lions will be able to secure victory, with fans enjoying the celebrations in our pubs!”
